Sidon Sea Castle Shines at Night Through Commendable Lighting Initiative by Mohammed Zaidan Development Association
The Sidon Sea Castle now glows at night thanks to a praiseworthy initiative by the Mohammed Zaidan Development Association in Sidon, coordinated with the Directorate of Antiquities and Sidon Municipality. The illumination has bestowed upon the historic site a magical and distinctive radiance that harmonizes beautifully with the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
This is not the association's first initiative during the holy month. In previous years, working in coordination with Sidon Municipality, it has undertaken numerous projects including:
Restoration and rehabilitation of public squares in the Old City
Enhanced cleanliness programs in the ancient alleyways that attract visitors from across Lebanon
Rehabilitation and lighting of Sidon's seafront promenade, particularly at entrances to the Old City
Restoration of the historic Al-Midanah quarter and several inner neighborhoods
The Mohammed Zaidan Development Association emphasizes that these initiatives reflect its developmental and urban vision to revive heritage and enhance the beauty of historic Sidon. The association sees Ramadan as an opportunity to reinforce values of generosity that have traditionally united the city's residents and visitors in an atmosphere of love and cooperation.
Comment by Engineer Ali Dali Balta (Former Member of Sidon Municipal Councils):
"Sidon, bride of the Mediterranean... What is this magic that draws me to you? For the first time in your modern history, your sea castle shines so enchantingly... May your land castle follow, along with your ancient quarters, seafront, and other archaeological landmarks... A noble step on the thousand-mile journey... A gracious and excellent initiative by Mohammed Zaidan Development Association. Congratulations to Sidon and to all who cherish its neighborhoods."
