The "Mohammed Zeidan Association for Development" in coordination with the "Arab University of Beirut" has completed the first phase of the restoration project of "Bab Al-Saray Square" in Old Sidon. This phase also included the houses and commercial shops overlooking the square, under the supervision of the association's engineers Reem Miari and Najib Butros.

The first phase of the project involved the presence of students on the ground, conducting surveys and filling out forms while inspecting the houses overlooking the square to assess the damages. This phase concluded with a social activity in the square, laying the groundwork for the social studies that will establish the architectural design criteria for the upcoming phases.
