Continuing the initiative started during its first visit on November 23, 2023, a delegation from the "Mohammed Zeidan Association for Development in Sidon" revisited Sidon’s Official Mixed Primary School (Al-Rashidiya) in the old city. The delegation, led by the association’s president, Engineer Dr. Hatem Badi, along with Ms. Farah Zeidan and Ms. Maria Haddad, arrived equipped with all necessary educational and logistical supplies requested by the school administration in the previous visit.
During the visit, Engineer Badi and his team met with Principal Ms. Amani Adeeb Hasna, who welcomed the initiative and praised Mr. Mohammed Zeidan’s continuous efforts to support education in the old city of Sidon. She emphasized his commitment to nurturing a well-educated generation capable of facing future challenges, particularly given the economic difficulties facing public schools.
As part of its mission to create a lasting positive impact, the association provided a comprehensive grant to the school, covering:
1. **Financial support** for contracted teachers, disbursed monthly throughout the 2023-2024 academic year.
2. **A monthly salary contribution** for the school’s security guard.
3. **Payment of dues** for kindergarten assistants.
4. **Coverage of electricity subscription costs**, including generator expenses.
5. **Essential classroom supplies**, such as desks, chairs for kindergarten students, printer ink, A4 paper, office chairs, and notebooks for every student.
6. **Health insurance contracts** for all students.
7. **Subscription to internet services (Ogero)**.
Additionally, the association’s dedicated team is overseeing **regular maintenance** of electrical systems and sanitation infrastructure within the school, ensuring urgent needs are addressed throughout the academic year.
This educational contribution aligns with the association’s broader development projects in the old city, which have included **building restorations, street lighting improvements, and months-long efforts to clean and maintain neighborhoods**—including **waste removal, drainage system cleaning, and infrastructure repairs**. These initiatives have made a tangible positive impact on Sidon’s historic district.
